Early Morning
in a Kansas City Hotel

There’s Jazz playing in the lobby.
Jazz on the walls.
Last night I was too tired to go anywhere
but there was live jazz right here where
I am now sipping espresso
and it’s time to leave already.
But the Jazz will be here.
